Challenge
Work through different UX processes and research for an app that focuses on feasible navigation and a unique interface.
Background
The Bottom Shelf is an app that allows users to plug in the mixology ingredients they have at home and find recipes that match those ingredients.
Process
I went through certain UX processes such as surveys and interviews, How Might We’s, personas, empathy maps, journey maps, and much more to reach the conclusion of how The Bottom Shelf should operate effectively.
Results
Users start by inputting the ingredients they already have in their house into the ingredients list. Then the app would generate recipes that have all those ingredients and take users through animated recipes. Users can share their accomplished recipes on the community page; if they don’t know certain mixology terms or methods, there is a section for tips.
